Remedy notes for 100buy shoppers, written outside 100buy

Reships and swaps: the missing piece, the right option, a better unit

A missing-part reship and an exchange are different arrangements: one adds what is missing; the other replaces an item. Ask the seller to confirm the action, stock availability and each shipping charge before agreeing. Neither is automatically cheap or available.

Reships for a missing piece or accessory

If a component included in the selected option did not arrive, document the expected contents and the received contents. Ask the seller through the agent whether the correct component can be supplied. A reship is a possible arrangement, not a standard outcome established by the help pages.

100buy’s inspection page describes checking quantity, colour and size labels. That scope is not evidence about how often a short pack is detected. If something appears missing, ask for a clear count photo and compare the seller’s selling unit with your selected quantity.

If the missing piece is discovered after delivery, report it promptly with the order, parcel and contents evidence. Ask whether a reship, return or another arrangement is available and what additional international transport would cost. Do not assume the seller will offer a particular remedy.

What a reship needs from the listing

A seller only sends what the listing promised. Before asking, open the listing again and find the line or the photo that shows the piece. Sets are where this matters most: a listing photo with a bag, a strap and a pouch may sell the bag alone, and the strap may be its own option at its own price.

  • A written inclusion: words in the listing or in the option name that say the piece comes with the item.
  • The option you chose: a set option and a single option often share photos; check which you paid for.
  • Counts in the title: packs of socks, sets of rings and pairs of earrings usually state the number.
  • The warehouse photos: 100buy’s own photos are the record of what arrived, and the seller can see them too.

If the listing does not clearly include the component, ask for clarification and preserve any option or order confirmation that describes it. The agent can check the seller’s position; this guide cannot infer a refusal or a refund outcome from an ambiguous promotional photograph.

Swaps for the wrong color option or size label

Compare the saved order option with the received label and pictures. A different colour option, size label or printed version is a concrete mismatch to raise. The inspection description does not establish a detection rate or identify responsibility in every case.

Who pays to move the item matters here. On 100buy’s return and exchange page, reasons are grouped by who is responsible, and when the seller sent the wrong product, the page expects the exchange to cost the buyer nothing in the normal case, unless the seller insists otherwise. That is a usual outcome, not a guarantee, and it is one reason to describe the request as a wrong option rather than as a change of mind.

Size labels need one extra word of care. The warehouse reads the size printed on the label, not the measurements of the garment, so a medium that measures small is not a wrong option in this sense. That falls under the small measurement differences covered on the page about inspection limits and seller-dependent remedies.

A new unit for the same fault

The other swap is for a faulty unit of the right option: a seam already opening, a print beginning to crack, a zipper that catches every time. Here the request is for another piece of the same thing, and it only makes sense before your parcel has gone out.

Ask whether a replacement is available and what evidence will show that it resolves the reported fault. A defect on one unit does not establish that the whole production run is affected. If you would consider keeping the original, ask about that as a separate option without assuming an adjustment will be offered.

For an exchange, ask which trips are required, who pays each one and whether the seller has accepted responsibility for the mismatch. Do not send the item based only on a general fee table. Save the written agreement and inspect the replacement when it arrives.

When a swap stops making sense

An overseas exchange can involve return postage, seller approval and another outbound shipment. Compare those complete costs with the item’s value and the other options the seller is willing to consider. This site does not have evidence that most such cases end in a partial refund or in the buyer keeping the item.

An unresolved issue is easier to examine before the item travels internationally because the warehouse still has it. After dispatch, ask what arrangements remain possible rather than assuming there is no remedy. Price a proposed overseas return before committing to it.
