Remedy notes for 100buy shoppers, written outside 100buy

Asking clearly: wording a remedy request a seller can answer

A useful remedy request identifies the order, the difference and the action you want. This page explains how to make that request through the agent. It does not claim to know why most requests fail or how often sellers agree.

Who carries the request between you and the seller

For an agent order, keep the request in the order’s official support channel so the buyer, agent and seller can refer to the same selected option and evidence. Ask who is currently expected to respond; do not assume silence means the seller has already refused.

A request may need clarification between buyer, agent and seller. Write one issue, the order identifier, the evidence and the requested action in the first message. Record the return deadline separately and ask about it if a reply is still pending; no response time is established by this example.

Plain English travels best. Short sentences, one fault per sentence, no slang and no sizes written as words: a relay that has to guess what “a bit off” means will guess cautiously, and the seller will answer the cautious version.

The seller still makes the decision. 100buy can argue a case, point to its own photos and remind a shop of its platform’s rules, but it cannot order a seller to refund. Expect a reply, not a ruling.

Photos and wording that make a remedy request clear

A complete first message names the item, the exact difference, where it is visible and the remedy you want to discuss. This makes the evidence easier to assess. It does not prove the request is eligible or that a refusal would be unreasonable.

Photos do most of the work. One fault per photo, taken in daylight, with the whole item in one frame and the fault close up in the next, says more than a paragraph. For a size claim, the photo that matters is the size label itself: 100buy’s after-receipt page notes that without a size marking on the item the claim cannot be checked. For a missing piece, the parcel and its contents laid out together are the evidence.

Words should be plain and specific. Name the item by its position in the order, describe the fault in a single sentence, give its size with something familiar (a coin, a fingertip), and close with the remedy you would accept. Avoid words that sound like legal threats; they slow a relay down and change nothing.

Naming the remedy you would accept

Name the outcome you would like the seller to consider. A description of the problem and a proposed remedy are different parts of the request. The seller may accept, propose an alternative, ask for evidence or refuse; this guide does not predict which response is most common.

  • For a small visible flaw: a partial refund, keeping the item.
  • For a missing piece: a reship of that piece to the warehouse.
  • For a wrong option or a size label that does not match: an exchange for what you ordered.
  • For a unit that does not work: an exchange for a checked unit, or a return.
  • For a fault that shows with use: the warranty route, with your proof attached.

If more than one solution would work, say which you prefer and which alternative you would accept. Keep the request coherent: replacing a missing strap and returning the complete bag require different handling. Ask the agent to confirm which action has actually been agreed.

When the warehouse photos miss the fault

100buy’s free photo set is small, generally three shots per item, taken to show what arrived rather than to hunt for flaws. A mark inside a bag, a stitch on the underside of a hem, a catch in a zipper: these rarely show. If an item matters to you, open the photos the day they are posted and put one precise question to 100buy before the item leaves the warehouse and before the return window closes.

Ask for the specific location and view that is missing. A repeated photograph or a statement that no obvious problem was found does not establish that the disputed detail matches the order. Send the selected option and ask for a direct answer to that comparison.

Answers you may get back

Replies to a remedy request come in a handful of shapes, and each points to a next step.

  • An offer. Usually money, sometimes a reship or an exchange. Accept, decline, or make one counter with a reason.
  • A request for more photos. Send exactly what is asked for, quickly; this is a good sign, not a stall.
  • A different remedy. A seller asked for a refund may propose an exchange, or the reverse. Judge it against the ladder, not against your first ask.
  • A refusal. Ask 100buy whether the seller gave a reason. If the reason is that there is no fault, the remaining rungs are a return at your cost or keeping the item.
  • Silence. Chase once through 100buy. Keep an eye on the window; silence does not stop it.
